Wrapped on the web series ‘Cost of Capital’, which is due out later this year. Really quick day, but such kind and professional cast and crew – truly enjoyed my time on set.
Had a day of pickups for the web series, “Just Thought You Should Know”, which will premiere online in January 2012.
Had a quick VO session helping out student friend, Erik Borgstrom, complete his spec commercial. Really polished piece… and my voice didn’t hurt
Attended a screening of works by Vanishing Angle, one of which I had a tiny part in – ‘Lovelock, CA‘. I was impressed at the wonderful work being produced by this group. Keep your eyes peeled.
Attended a screening of film ‘H.O.G.’s Tooth‘ directed by Loren F. Gilley at AFI. I had the pleasure of being a part of this fantastically elaborate and well made short film. Audience response was great.
Completed our 201 graduation show at UCB with instructor Alex Berg. Great fun – decently packed house, all things considering. Excited for next level!

Completed the SAG Summer Conservatory Intensive this weekend. Was a lot of fun, interesting advice from actor Jack Plotnick on acting, Commercial Casting Directors Karen Maseng, Laurie Records, Tiffany Jeensen, and Scott Wissner. Attended two wonderful web series centric workshops on writing, the business, and marketing. One in particular stuck with me – a Q&A with writer/actor/producer Gregory Storm. It has gotten me motivated and excited to begin work on my new web series project!
Was in a super-fun graduation show at UCB under the tutelage of Joel Spence. He’s fair, honest, intelligent, and insightful – great teacher, can’t recommend him enough. Graduated (with flying colors… I hope), now on to the next level!
Not acting related, but check out photos I snapped this weekend at the 2011 San Diego Comic.

Had a quick little role (officer #2) on the indie short film, Lovelock, Nevada. It was produced by Vanishing Angle, directed by Matt Miller, and written by Theda Cunningham, Frederick Lawrence & Matt Miller.
Whoa, we were outside for this due to a SNAFU, luckily the weather was nice, but I attended a very eye-opening Q&A with commercial sessions director/teacher/actor Killian McHugh. He is very blunt, honest, and fair – no B.S. Check out his commercial workshops. I’ve been asking around, they are rated highly!
Attended a Q&A with commercial casting director Mariko Ballentine at AFI through the SAG Conservatory program. She was blunt, honest, and revealing. Mariko provided her points of view regarding the current state of the industry, and the casting process with regards to actors.
Attended a packed premiere for Eye of the Storm at the WGA which I was in. The short won the 2011 CTVA TV Showcase for Best Drama/Comedy! Everyone did an amazing job!
Part of SAG’s LifeRaft series – attended a motivational and informational lecture/Q&A with actor/producer Tom Malloy in regards to bankrolling your indie feature. Gave me some great ideas. Very helpful, had some wonderful advice, and was entertaining to listen to. Great energy!
